Bill Stimpson was born in Detroit Michigan. He was mostly raised in California, finishing his high school in Richmond Union High School. He went back to Michigan to attend Wayne State University, majoring in engineering. In April of 1970, Bill graduated as a journeyman electrician. By March of 1976, he earned a Master Electrician License through the State of Michigan. Over the span of nearly forty years, he had worked at almost every facet of the electrical construction industry. The last five years of his career was spent teaching in the Electrical Apprentice School.
Aside from his secular vocation, Bill devoted his life to his pastoral mission. In June 11, 1983, he was ordained as the Deacon Archdiocese of Detroit after serving in different parishes across Michigan, During his service, he has written hundreds of articles for parish bulletins and newspapers. In May 2022, he released his first published book.
Bill retired from active ministry on June 30 of 2018.
